Breach Broods

For unknown eons, a wound festered between our reality and the hungry annihilation from beyond. This wound gave birth to and granted refuge for many abominable creatures. When Ferumbras futile actions violated the boundaries between worlds, it was none of those abominations that slipped through first, but some natural, or rather unnatural, disaster. These beings, which do not possess any sentience, were driven by some sinister and destructive purpose. A prime example for such creatures is the Breach Brood.
The Breach Brood can be best described as a force of destruction which has taken shape. It somehow interacts with its surroundings - usually in a brutal way. The Breach Brood seems even more unstable than others of its ilk; because of that it is unable to exists for a lengthy period of time outside the disruptive netherworld in which it spawned. It still strives towards its only purpose - the annihilation and consumption of reality. This is an enemy that can't be reasoned with, an enemy that knows no mercy and shows no mercy. Its whole existence is completely bound to nothing else than destruction.
Its very existence already causes harm to our reality and its inhabitants. Its attacks can rather be compared to a fire burning a hand which accidentally happened to touch it than a planned move. Like a fire that burns straw but not stone, its actions are only expressions of itself and nothing more. Some assume that the Breach Brood and other beings from beyond are nothing more than the manifestation and with that part of the ultimate destruction all around them.
To conclude, the Breach Brood is a rather forceful foe that does not follow any form of battle plan. It needs to be extinguished before it can spread further harm, however, it is necessary to approach it with the same caution one would use facing a natural phenomenon.

Breach Broods have 3500 hitpoints. They cannot be paralyzed. Moreover, they are strong against energy, fire and ice damage. On the other hand, they are weak against death, earth, holy and physical damage. These creatures can neither be summoned nor convinced. In addition, they are able to sense invisible creatures.

Breach Broods yield 2200 experience points. They carry crystallized anger, curious matter, energy bars, energy drinks, gold coins, great health potions, great mana potions, great spirit potions, plasma pearls, platinum coins, spark spheres, volatile proto matter and sometimes other items with them.
